Whereas the inside of the frames where in great condition.Rather than
remove curtain fittings,sill boards and possibly damage render and paintwork,
we removed all internal timbers and glass etc then inserted new aluminium
awnings and the exposed timber outside was covered with weather proofed
flashings the same finish as the new windows.
